Future Matrix Publications follows and upholds the ethical standards and best-practice guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA).

Key Editorial Policies
Peer-Review Process & Integrity
All research articles undergo rigorous peer review (double-blind or single-blind depending on journal policy) by at least two independent expert reviewers. Final editorial decisions rest solely with Chief Editors.
Plagiarism & AI-Assisted Content Policy
All submissions are screened via Turnitin/iThenticate prior to peer review. Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) cannot be listed as authors; AI usage for writing must be declared in the Acknowledgments section.
COPE Ethical Misconduct Protocols
Investigations into alleged data fabrication, duplicate publication, ghost authorship, or peer-review manipulation strictly follow COPE flowcharts.
Retractions, Addenda & Corrections
Post-publication corrections or retractions follow Crossmark guidelines. Retracted articles remain accessible with a permanent watermark and explicit explanation notice.
Open Access & Data Availability
Articles are published under Creative Commons licenses (CC BY 4.0). Authors are encouraged to deposit underlying raw research data in public repositories (Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is peer review double-blind or single-blind?
This depends on the specific journal's policy. Many of our partner journals use double-blind review by default, but the exact process is confirmed with each journal's editorial board and stated in that journal's submission guidelines.
What happens to an article after it's retracted?
Retracted articles are not removed from the record. They remain accessible online with a permanent watermark and a clear notice explaining the reason for retraction, in line with Crossmark guidelines and standard academic transparency practices.
Are you a registered COPE member?
